Was in Washington DC recently for very good friend’s wedding (which was a blast) did this panorama of Pennsylvania Ave while I was there. Thought it came out pretty sweet. Click the thumbnail below to view it people!

Wow, Joe. This is beautiful. I love the curve of the road. I really want a wide-angle lens, and to learn how to shoot panoramics in general. What did you use for this?
Thank you so much Megan!! I actually shot this with a factory lens believe it or not =) I’ll give away my not so big secret for you.
It’s a little hard to explain but in theory what I did was go around and take one set of pictures on the same plane in a straight line across whatever your photographing. Find a point to focus on to keep your camera even (in this case I used the tree tops). And then I did a second set of pictures on the plane below that. You ca do as many sets as you want depending on how much you want the panorama to cover. All together I think I had about 15 pictures or so.
Afterwards open photoshop and click File>Automate>Photomerge then pick all the pictures you took and it will “stitch” the panorama together for you. Crop it down and then go in with a fine tooth comb and look for any glitches in the Matrix if you will lol. Place where there’s scenery overlap, etc. Then I just worked a little bit of PS magic on the pic to bring out it’s highlights and all, then I was DONE! Hope that helps, Tweet or Facebook me if you’re confused at all, I know this was a quick run through.
