Side by Side NASCAR Song…

The below is taken from my band’s (Side by Side) Myspace about a very exciting project we’ve had the chance to work on this past month:

Hello fellow internet friends!!
We have some good news on this Summer morning. This past month or so we’ve had a project come our way that’s been very under wraps but we like today we can break the news to everyone. NASCAR has hired us to cover the Wynona Judd song “Your Day Will Come” for a new film of theirs that will open with the new NASCAR Hall of Fame next May!!!! We had a session with the people from NASCAR last night, signed the paper work, and finished recording the bulk of it yesterday. We had a 14hr studio session with some amazing studio musicians we hired to play drums, etc. on the track.
I know what you’re thinking “Wynona Judd cover?” But believe me when you hear it, it’s in total Side by Side piano anthem tradition and Allison’s vocals are beyond powerful. We spent the last month demoing it and getting it just right for the final version we laid down yesterday. We will keep you all updated with more news on this as it comes in.
Other than that the new album is rolling along, looks like we have 15 songs that we’re going to try tracking and pick from those! Check back often and at our twitters for up to the minute updates (seriously we’re kind of obsessed with twitter, haha).

AAR- “I Wanna” Remix by Mark Hoppus

Here is the Mark Hoppus remix of the All American Remix song “I Wanna”, way better than the original in my opinion. The different percussion movements are freakin’ amazing and his choice of poly and mono synths along with keeping some of the guitars fit brilliantly. Kudos Mr. Hoppus, you never let me down!
